Texas RE's annual Spring Standards, Security, and Reliability Workshop will be held on April 1, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. Central. It will be structured around the 2026 ERO CMEP IP and Texas RE's annual Reliability Performance and Regional Risk Assessment. The event will be conducted both in-person at our Austin MetCenter offices and virtually via Webex.
Regional Risk Series: Cold Weather - April 8, 2026
One of the major Risk Elements included in the NERC 2026 Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP) Implementation Plan (IP) is Extreme Weather Response, which includes cold weather. In this Talk with Texas RE staff will review the risks posed by extreme cold weather and the Reliability Standards and best practices to mitigate that risk.

Supply chain is identified as a risk element in the 2026 ERO Enterprise Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP) Implementation Plan (IP) and continues to be a focal point for Bulk Power System (BPS) reliability. This session will cover third-party, software, and hardware supply chain risks along with associated Reliability Standards requirements and mitigation strategies.
