Derrick Davis serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing the Legal department, Communications and Training, Accounting, and IT for Texas RE. He has been with Texas RE since 2009 when he joined as corporate counsel, and became Director of Enforcement, Registration, and Standards in 2013.

Prior to joining Texas RE, Mr. Davis was corporate counsel for ERCOT and was responsible for software development contracts and the related procurement processes for the ERCOT Nodal market redesign.

Mr. Davis has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Virginia, and a Juris Doctorate from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.
