Evan Wilcox is the managing director of interconnection services & integrated planning for American Electric Power (AEP). He is responsible providing strategic direction to support the rapidly growing electric power industry and coordinating transmission interconnections for retail, wholesale, and generation customers across the AEP system.
In his 25 years with AEP, Evan has held a variety of leadership positions across transmission planning, modeling FERC & RTO policy, and engineering standards. Evan holds a BS in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University, an MBA from Capital University and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.

Kelly Bledsoe is director, transmission engineering services for American Electric Power (AEP). He is responsible for transmission line engineering standards as well as providing stewardship for 765kV technology and critical project support across the AEP system.
Kelly has over 35 years of 765kV experience including engineering, standards design, testing, project management, construction, maintenance, and emergency restoration. He has held leadership positions throughout various parts of the AEP transmission organization. He has published several industry papers on 765kV transmission line engineering, design and construction and is a Gene Wilhoite award recipient for contributions made to the transmission line industry. He is an active member of ASCE, serving on several industry committees and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Virginia. Kelly holds a BS in civil engineering from Virginia Military Institute and an associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology from Virginia Western Community College.

Archie Pugh serves as vice president, transmission, and is responsible for the development of AEP’s 765kV project portfolio. In this role, Archie leverages his 34 years of 765kV experience including siting, regulatory, engineering, standards development, project management, construction, operations and maintenance. Archie has also served as director of project management and vice president of transmission field services at AEP, where he was responsible for operations and maintenance of the eastern service territory.
Archie earned his bachelor and master degrees in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. In 2015, Archie completed the Executive Management Program at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. In 2018, he was awarded the prestigious Gene Wilhoite Innovations in Transmission Line Engineering Award which is a lifetime achievement presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers. Archie is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and West Virginia and a Project Management Professional.

The project to add new 765 kV transmission lines in the Texas Interconnection is underway. In this webinar, guests from AEP will give a high-level overview of the project, discuss the benefits to reliability these new lines will bring, and discuss the lessons learned in parts of the country where these transmission resources have been managed.
