Jonathan Booe
Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, NAESB

Jonathan Booe is the executive vice president & chief operating officer of the North American Energy Standards Board (NAESB) and has been working as an attorney for the organization since 2007. As the chief operating officer, Jonathan manages all NAESB staff and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization, including all standards development activities undertaken to support the wholesale and retail natural gas and electricity markets. Through his various roles with NAESB, he has worked with hundreds of companies to develop business practice standards, standardized contracts, certification programs, and industry tools that add efficiency, transparency, and security to market processes. He is also the acting NAESB liaison to the Department of Energy, the FERC, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and many energy trade associations. 

The NAESB serves as an industry forum for the development and promotion of standards to develop a seamless marketplace for wholesale and retail natural gas and electricity, as recognized by its customers, business community, participants, and regulatory entities.
