E-ISAC Issues Cyber Security Bulletin

Due to current geopolitical events, the Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center (E-ISAC) has issued a bulletin encouraging all companies in the energy sector to be vigilant in monitoring for suspicious activity. There are no specific threats at this time, but areas of particular interest include:

  • Spearphishing. Maintain an elevated awareness for external email messages
  • Suspicious or malicious traffic emanating from the Internet
  • Denial of service attacks
  • Data deletion attacks. E-ISAC recommends the Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) ransomware guidance

The full bulletin can be viewed here (a current E-ISAC account or new registration will be required). In addition, the DHS also issued a National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) bulletin.
