The Texas Reliability Monitor conducts investigations of significant events in the ERCOT Interconnection, such as Energy Emergency Alerts (EEA), or significant load losses. The Texas Reliability Monitor may issue data requests to entities to obtain information regarding a Market Participant's performance and compliance with reliability-related ERCOT requirements.
Compliance analysis may lead to formal investigations and identification of possible violations. If this occurs, Texas Reliability Monitor staff will submit the results of an event investigation to the PUCT for further review and possible enforcement action.
