NERC Entity Registration Instructions

All owners, operators, or users of the bulk power system in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) region must be registered with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).

Refer to the Statement of Compliance Registry Criteria, found on the Compliance Registry section of the NERC site, to determine as what functional model an organization must register with NERC. The NERC functional model determines which NERC Reliability Standards the entity is required to meet. The NERC registration process is described in the NERC Rules of Procedure, Appendix 5, also found on the Compliance Registry page.
