NERC Entity Definitions and Registration Criteria

In this section, find the definitions and criteria for registering with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). The information presented in this section is according to NERC’s Statement of Compliance Registry Criteria, found on the Registration and Certification  page.

Organizations are responsible for registering and complying with NERC Reliability Standards to the extent that they are owners, operators, and users of the Bulk Power System (BPS), perform a function as defined by the Statement of Compliance Registry Criteria, and are material to the reliable operation of the interconnected BPS as defined by the Statement of Compliance Registry Criteria.
