Texas Reliability Entity, Inc. (Texas RE) uses self-certification by entities registered with the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) to affirm that entities meet requirements of applicable, actively monitored NERC Reliability Standards.
Typically, data is not included with self-certifications. The data is reviewed and validated through subsequent audits or spot-checks. Texas RE reviews all self-certifications and determines final status of compliance when possible violations are indicated by the entity, which may require Texas RE contacting the entity for supplemental information.
NERC Reliability Standards Self-Certification
NERC self-certifications are conducted on webCDMS . NERC-registered entities are notified of each self-certification period at least 30 days before the due date for self-certification form submission.
The next self-certification submittal period will occur from January 1 through March 31, 2015. The self-certification reporting period will run from the end of the 2013 self-certification period through December 31, 2014. Registered entities should use the 2013 and 2014 Implementation Plan self-certification listings as a guide for the standards being considered for self-certification.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Texas RE Self-Certification . If you are responsible for a self-certification, and you do not know if you have access to webCDMS, contact your organization’s Primary Compliance Contact (PCC). If you do not know who your PCC is, contact Texas RE Information .
