Schedule Control Error Compliance
Texas Reliability Entity, Inc. (Texas RE) reports the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) regional metrics for schedule control error (SCE) intervals by qualified scheduling entity (QSE), according to ERCOT Protocol 6.10.5.3, SCE Monitoring Criteria. The protocol applies to QSEs with generation resources.
Texas RE adjusts the Schedule Control Performance (SCP) performance scores according to the protocol’s criteria.
- SCPS1 (Schedule Control Performance Standard 1) measures how well the QSE stays at 60 Hz. SCPS1 measures one-minute averages of the QSE’s SCE performance; the adjusted score must be 100% to pass.
- SCPS2 measures how closely QSEs keep to their schedules. SCPS2 measures 10-minute averages of the QSE’s SCE performance; the adjusted score must be 90% or greater to pass.
Please refer to ERCOT Protocol 6.10.5.3 for details of the criteria.
Non-compliance by a QSE is reported to the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
