Sending EOP-004-1 Disturbance Reports (OE-417 and NERC)

The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) Reliability Standard EOP-004-1 External Link requires submittal of disturbance reports to NERC, Texas Reliability Entity, Inc. (Texas RE) and the Department of Energy (DOE) to monitor major system incidents on electric power systems. Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERC)T Operating Guide Sections 3.2.3 and 3.8 require submittal to ERCOT ISO as well. Consult the Standard for details on reporting thresholds, timelines and forms. Initial reports are due in 24 hours or less, with follow-up required within 72 hours in some instances.

Note that thresholds for OE-417 report were updated slightly since EOP-004-1 was approved.  Online submittal is available to the DOE but copies must be mailed to the other 3 contacts above, per NERC Compliance Application Notice CAN-0039 External Link.
